THE DISSOCIATIVES To Embark On Australian Tour
April 5, 2004THE DISSOCIATIVES, SILVERCHAIR frontman Daniel Johns' collaboration with dance producer/artist Paul Mac, have announced a limited series of Australian concerts during June/July. Tickets for these shows will go on sale at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21. Very special guests on all dates will be acclaimed Perth quartet LITTLE BIRDY. This will be their first gigs after several months off the road recording their album.
THE DISSOCIATIVES' debut single "Somewhere Down The Barrel" is currently one of Australia's most played songs on radio and TV. Their album is also attracting early critical raves with Rolling Stone giving it four stars and calling it "...unlike anything ever produced by an Australian act. A pop/rock record for the ages, to be placed up alongside your BEATLES and BEACH BOYS' discs."
Commented Johns: "I'm really looking forward to this tour — which is not something I'd usually say."
Added Paul Mac: "We actually put the live band together late last year and rehearsed for a few weeks. We all enjoyed playing the songs so we just know this tour is going to be fun."
